Television series House is an American medical drama and stars actors Hugh Laurie, Lisa Edelstein, Robert Sean Leonard, Omar Epps, Jennifer Morrison, Jesse Spencer, Peter Jacobson, Kal Penn and Olivia Wilde. House is created by David Shore and film director Bryan Singer.
The show has won many awards including an Emmy Award for David Shore, a Golden Globe Award and the Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Actor in a Television Drama for Hugh Laurie, 2005 Peabody Award for Best of Electronic Media and the show was also recognised as one of the best TV Programs of the Year by The American Film Institute.
Dr Gregory House (played by Hugh Laurie) is a medical genius and thrives on solving medical mysteries to help save his patients. House and a team of highly specialised physicians who work at the fictional Princeton Plainsboro Teaching Hospital in New Jersey take on medical cases no other doctors can crack. His team includes neurologist Dr. Eric Foreman, immunologist Dr. Allison Cameron and Dr. Robert Chase. House's good friend Dr. James Wilson is an oncology specialist, who is constantly covering up for House while trying to get him to face a few harsh truths about himself. House must also deal with his boss; Lisa Cuddy who generally opposes House's unconventional methods however admits he is the best doctor in town.
House will do anything, including breaking the law and taking risks in order to save a patient’s life. House’s controversial methods continue to save lives every day.
