Mark Holden has quit his position as a judge on popular talent show, Australian Idol. After speculation that Holden was axed due to the poor ratings of the 2007 series, Channel Ten has spoken out, announcing that it was entirely Holden’s decision and he is still signed to Channel Ten.
There is not expected to be a replacement judge appointed, as three judges still remain; Marcia Hines, Kyle Sandilands and Ian “Dicko” Dickson. The sixth season of Idol will start up in mid-2008.
