Obama didnt have his own thread yet- so here it is!

I for one am inspired by everything this man says.
It's amazing-we live in Australia but I wish I could vote in the US elections. Their outcome will affect us.

I'm inspired by Obama's stance on the environment, climate change and just the sense that he represents a USA that will no longer support the policies of George Bush and his cronies. If I had the power (LOL!) I would have preferred to see Hillary Clinton heading into the White House, but I have never felt so passionate about a US election before.

I am SO with you on this MMM! US elections of the past ... couldn't give a proverbial!! This has been different ... from day dot. It would have been nice to have a woman in the White House ... but I'm not real sure about Hillary ... reckon Bill would still be pulling the strings silently in the background there. No matter what you may feel about Bill, the guy sure has style and charisma. Watched him walking on the stage with Obama the other day ... what a pair! I also believe it is wonderful for this fractured and racist world we live in to see an African-American in the White House. I honestly never thought I'd see that in my lifetime. My one prayer would be that we don't get some racist idiot wanting to re-enact the tragedy of Martin Luther King.

It's a good feel at the moment!

I'm pleased it's Obama & not Hillary or McCain. It's nice to have a younger man this time, & that he has broken the mould. I also hope one day the right woman comes along, but in the meantime I'm glad his country is giving Obama this opportunity. I think they'll need to double his secret service people though, & take extra precautions with him, sadly..

I really wanted to see Hillary in the Whitehouse actually- I thought she was the canditate with the most experience and I wanted to see a woman as leader f the free world
But at the same time, Obama is quite simply wold inspiring and hopefully world changing.

My family lives in the US and they told me that never have the polls been so busy. It seems all the young people really got into the voting thing this year.
