The first pictures from the US adaptation of Kath & Kim have appeared on the internet, starring American actresses Molly Shannon and Selma Blair in the roles made famous by Australian comediennes Jane Turner and Gina Riley. Take a look:

Totally agree Andy, Kath and Kim are uniquely Australian. Putting an American "bent" on it just won't work because the humour of the two countries is just so different.

Anyone ever catch the US 'bent' on Prisoner? Cell Block A or something, it was called. Totally missed the point- which was- um- an Australian drama about a jail which was unintentionally very funny and made local stars out of all the actresses. Dont think the US series ever did any of their cast any such favours.
