Arizona jogger bitten by rabid fox
November 06, 2008 10:31am

WHEN a woman out jogging was bitten by a rabid fox, she ran on for another 1.5km with the animal still attached to her arm and threw it into the boot of her car.

The woman was bitten on the foot by the fox while she out running near Prescott in Arizona, the Associated Press reported.

When it went for her leg, she grabbed it by the scruff of the neck, and that's when it bit her arm, the Yavapai County sheriff's office said.

The woman wanted the animal tested for rabies so she ran 1.5km to her car with the fox still biting her arm, then pried it off, threw it in the boot of her car and drove herself to hospital.

The fox later bit an animal control officer. He and the woman both received rabies vaccinations.

LMAO I thought it funny that the fox later bit an animal control officer. No wonder, after being dragged 1.5km, wrestled into the boot of a car and manhandled................

AROUSED animals and fears of an alien attack are just a few of the bizarre complaints made by holidaymakers.
Travel specialists from around the world have compiled a list of complaints to prove the incredible lengths travellers will go to get compensation.
One travel agent received a complaint from a tourist at a top African game lodge overlooking a waterhole, who spotted a visibly aroused elephant.
The tourist said that the sight of this rampant beast ruined his honeymoon by making him feel "inadequate".
Another wacky incident saw a group of UFO-believers, who were holding a conference at a Novotel hotel, express their fears of being infiltrated by aliens because the locks on the meeting room doors hadn't been changed.
A guest at a Novotel in Australia complained his soup was too thick and strong. He was inadvertently slurping the gravy at the time.
Another Aussie hotel was told by a football star that his hotel room overlooking Sydney's Manly beach was unsuitable because the sound of the sea kept him awake.
"By and large, Australians are pretty relaxed about travel and don't make many strange complaints or demands," said Flight Centre spokesman Haydn Long.
"They're mostly good travellers who understand that things may be done differently to what they'd expect in Australia."
Maybe, but that didn't stop one Aussie traveller from moaning that his hotel room "was decorated in a feminine manner".
Other complaints included a panic-stricken woman who called reception and angrily protested that she was locked in her room. Staff later discovered that the woman, who had never stayed in a hotel before, had read the "do not disturb" sign on the inside doorknob and assumed she should not open it.
According to one British travel company's survey, some travellers complained of not enjoying going away on holiday because foreigners "didn't want to speak English".

Love it, Magician. Where did you find this list?
By the way, I've stayed in a hotel on Manly Beach and the waves are bl@#dy loud.

Great post Magician, I have holiday accommodation here on the Murray River.....the stories I could tell you guys would make your hair curl.......I could write a book - generally the way I look at it is everybody is different and I just take each guest as they come. The story that does stick in my mind though is one couple re-arranged all the furniture in every room, changed all the cupboards and contents around, they were only there for 2 days and it would have taken them 2days to re-arrange everything. Funny part about it was, I liked the way they re-arranged it, and it is still the same to the day.
Not my idea of a getaway though!!!!

NOTE to self: never play with a cigarette lighter on the toilet - particularly after spraying the room with air freshener.
For 13-year-old German schoolboy Dennis Bueller, it's a lesson he won't forget.
The Recklinghausen lad was blasted out of the window of his bathroom from the fireball created by his dad's lighter which ignited the air freshener he had sprayed moments earlier.
"I began fiddling with a lighter my dad left in there and suddenly there was this big orange whoosh! of flame. I woke up outside with my clothes burned off me and smelling like a barbecue," Bueller said.
Bueller suffered burns to his face, arms, legs and upper body and will require months of treatment. He will need months of care.
Dad Artur, 31, said: "He said the downstairs loo smelled but I think he realises he was a bit dim in playing with a lighter."

As you guys know, my daughters & I have 6 horses, & Jess loves doing dressage. So when we saw this clip on YouTube we were truly stunned & amazed. I don't know if it would interest any of you, but it isn't an ugly horse - it really is a camel, & it does high level dressage brilliantly! Never again will I say our horses do dressage like a camel, because now I know they're not THAT good! LOL !!
