Born in Goulburn, New South Wales on 14 August, 1978, Kate Richie is an actress best known for playing Sally Fletcher in the Australian drama series, Home and Away. Ritchie’s first foray into acting was in 1986 when she played Molly in the mini-series Cyclone Tracy. It was in 1988 that she landed the part of Sally Fletcher in Home and Away, a role that she played for 20 years.

In 2006 Ritchie won a Silver Logie and in 2007 she won Silver, as well as the Gold Logie. Another of her achievements includes making it into the Guinness Book of Records for longest continuous role in an Australian drama series, along with Home and Away co-star Ray Meagher.

Ritchie also appeared as a contestant on It Takes Two, a celebrity singing competition, in 2006. She plans to join popular breakfast radio team, Merrick and Rosso, on Nova 96.9 in 2008.

A sex tape scandal in 2000 soiled Ritchie’s “good girl” reputation when a homemade pornographic film was released that allegedly featured her with an unidentified man. Ritchie has neither confirmed nor denied these allegations.

After a long term relationship with rugby league player, Chris Walker, Ritchie is now dating pro-skateboarder Corbin Harris, who she met at co-star Ada Nicodemou’s wedding.
