Australian actress and model Kate Fisher was born on 30 November 1973 in Adelaide Australia and is better known for her engagement to Australia’s richest man James Packer between 1996 and 1998. She is the daughter of Pru Goward, currently a Member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly.
Fisher’s career kicked off when she starred in the film Sirens alongside actor Hugh Grant and Australian model Elle Macpherson. She also starred in the films The Real Thing and Foreigner. In 1997, a portrait of her was hung in the Archibald Prize by painter Paul William Newton, titled Kate and Barbie. Fischer hosted cartoon show Looney Tunes in the mid-late 1990s. In 2005 Fischer appeared on television show Celebrity Overhaul, a show in which celebrities try to regain their fitness through diet and exercise.
In May 2006 Fischer appeared as a guest judge on Song for the Socceroos and as a contestant on the television show It Takes Two. Since 2005, Fischer has been the face of the AMP group of shopping centers across Australia. In late 2006, Fischer hosted a weekly Top 40 countdown clip show.
