Holly Brisley was born on 11 January 1978 in Adelaide, Australia later moving to the Gold Coast with her parents and attended Mary Mount Primary School which led to Brisley’s involvement in school musicals and drama festivals. At the age of 13, Brisley joined Studio Search Agency on the Gold Coast and began her gradual climb to her TV and film career.
At the age of 16, Brisley landed a role on kids’ television show Agro's Cartoon Connection which lasted three years ending in 1997. Brisley then went on to appear in television series Cheez TV, White Collar Blue, All Saints, Home and Away and hosted the Looney Tunes Cartoon Show.
In 2003 Brisley starred in the Australian feature-film, The Crop for which she won 'Best Actress' at the New York Independent Film Festival in May 2005. She has also starred in the films Scooby-Doo with Australian actress Isla Fisher who also starred in Home and Away and Garage Days starring Australian actress Pia Miranda. Later that year, Brisley appeared on the second series of Seven Network series Dancing With the Stars making it to the final three.
In 2005, Brisley became engaged to marketing executive Paul Ford and they married on February 11 2006 in Manly, Sydney. Brisley’s raspy voice comes from the fact that she had throat cancer.
