Scarlett Johansson has raised a massive $40,100 for charity by auctioning off a date on Ebay. Starting at just $1, the date caused a bidding frenzy, with a total of 170 offers being made.

The winner, known only by his Ebay identity, ‘bossnour’, will fly from the UK to accompany Scarlett at the world premiere of her film, He’s Just Not That Into You in July. The film star is currently dating actor Ryan Reynolds, who will have to step down for the night.

The money raised will be donated to Oxfam, a charity organisation that fights poverty.
